Alice in Wonderland does Halloween
Alice in wonderland Halloween style is a cute triptech done using Graphics45 paper cut and layered for a 3-d look. I saw this triptech was inspired by Karen at the Art House Studio and I just had to make one for myself. Enjoy the artful journey. Thanks for checking out my blog. Comments are always welcoming and encouraging.
I would love to have as a follower as well. Thanks for stopping by.

Just add a little wax
This is the results of a little class I was at yesterday at The Art House Studio in Kitchener, Ontario. Karen is a fun generous teacher. We had a full day of laughter, sharing and learning. Papers are my Granphics 45 all adhered to the canvas with beeswax, then covered with more beeswax. Beads were added to the middle of the flower. It was fun and a great experience. Thanks Karen for a fun day.

Tall Flowers on Canvas
I'm sorry I haven't been doing the blog challenges. I do have good intentions. lol I have been doing very little, but I did manage to finish this canvas. Used texture paste and acrylic paint these tall flowers. The design is by Bob Pennycook. He does great mixed media art pieces. I just love his designs. But, even though it started out to be Bob's design, I changed it. It is a 12"x48" canvas. I added more flowers and worked the texture a little differently. I can never leave things along. hahaha Hope you like it.

Pretty as a Butterfly
I love butterflies flighting around in the summer breeze. Here is a piece I did yesterday at a workshop with Karen E at The Art House Studio. The doll stamp is by Character Construction using Catherine's crinoline die. I also used Claudine Hellmuth's gel medium for the first time. Lovely stuff..so smooth and silky. Gears by Tim Holtz and papers by Graphics 45. I hope you enjoy my new wall piece. Can hardly wait to hang her in my studio. She is so pretty. Thanks Karen for the great workshop.

Altered Canvas for Scrolls Works
These two 6" x 6" canvas were first painted Soft Black in acrylic paint. Graphics 45paper was cut to size. The edges were distressed using Tea Dye Distressed inks by Tim Holtz. Stamped images are by Scrolls Works stamped on kraft cardstock from Stampin'Up, then cut out and edges were distressed, then glued on to the canvas. Metal sheet was first embossed using the bingo embossing folder by Tim Holtz. The metal was then distressed with alcohol inks. Various metal embellishments by Tim Holtz were used to embellish, add dimension and texture. Metal wings are from Alpha Stamps. Typewriter keys from stash. These two canvases will be hinged together. I hope you enjoy looking at these. To see more Scrolls Works stamps,

Exciting News...I'm on a Design Team...yes..me!!!
I love rubber stamping and playing in my art studio. Because of that I've been accepted on the design team for Scrolls Works. This is my first time, so I'm excited and nervous at the sametime. Looking forward to working with Scrolls Works stamps. Check out Scrolls Works website and see for yourself the great stamps they offer, plus now they are carrying Momento Inks.

Last of my presents from Debby
Debby loves anything small, especially books. All these works of art are painted with water based oil crayons. This was a terrific personal swap we did together. It feels like Christmas when I get any of her art pieces. Thanks Debby H. Debby is in Florida and we have been friends and swap partners for years. Wish she had access to blogs etc.. so she could show off her work. She is on dial up and doesn't do well with graphics.
I love getting presents...

A few more calendars
This is calendar 8 & 9 for the swap. Have 3 more to show you. These calendars for a swap so I will sending them out to my partners very soon. It was so hard to find numbers. You don't realize how many number sets you are going to need or how hard it was to find them. So now I'm stuck with lots of alphabets minus J U L Y...hahaha I don't work with stickers much anymore. Next time I will be smarter and use my number rubber stamps. lol Enjoy

Gothic Arch - Daisies
Gothic Arches are so fun to do. I don't know why. Just another shape to enjoy creating and embellishing. I used some cardstock that I have under my little spray station when I'm using Glimmer Mists (Tattered Angels) and other mists, you get wonderful combinations when you are not even trying. The Gothic Arch challenge is over at Gothic Arches
Enjoy the creative journey.
I've been gifted
I am the luckest in the world. I was treated yesterday to some wonderful mail. No bills, just these lovely pieces of art from Laura at Creative Whispers
Thanks so much Laura for sharing your lovely art with me.

The tortoise and the hare
Life is a race. We never seem to have the time to do the things that matter most. Do we have to race through time? Does it matter who wins? We are here to enjoy the journey. Instead of racing, take a walk, stop and help a fellow traveller. Paper & trim from stash, turtle stamp by Stampin'Up, rabbit by Magenta, Tim Holtz grungeboard flourish, and clock stamp(unknown).

Saturday night...
Well the weekends half over and what have I accomplished? I spend so much time with the group mail, adding swaps, deleting finished swaps, putting out fires and smoothing feathers. lol I had good intentions this week. I listed all the themes for the blog challenges and I was going to do them. Well, the next thing I know it's Friday night. I did manage 4 cards that I sent away to try out on a design team. Wish me luck. I was also going to try surprising my friend Laura with a doll this week...well that didn't happen either. Where has the time flown. August is half over. I hate to think of winter being around the corner, but I'm sure that those suffering in this heat are looking for cooler weather. I wonder if making Christmas cards would help? Have a creative weekend. Hope next week will be a more creative week. Enjoy the Journey.
