A couple of journal pages

Here is a page from a journal swap we are doing on the group. The theme in this book is Alice in Wonderland. So I used Graphic 45 paper, and a stamp from Oxford Expressions.

Board Book

These are a few pages I did for my board book swap. All the images used were from Altered Pages. see Altered Pages here All embellishments are from stash (unknown), papers are from Stampin'Up, Tim Holtz and other sources. It was a fun project. It is very thick so I hope my partner likes it.

A couple of atcs I made recently for a swap about the wild wild west. The collage sheets were from Luna. The map of Texas was from a candy box someone has sent me.

Textured Canvas "Enjoy the Journey"

I had fun today, creating this whimsical lady on a painted textured background. I drew her and then used gesso to white out the background. Cut out a dress and added gesso to that to soften it. She was then painted with acrylics and outlined with my new Pitt Pens. I love the way she turned out. It was my first time doing this kind of art. She is cute, don't you think?

Dreaming of Paris!

Have you ever dreamed of going to Paris. A romantic city with ancient architecture, cobble stones, and outdoor cafes. Created this card using an image from Altered Pages. Enjoy your journey.

Back to School Cards

I made these cards using Altered Pages collage sheets. School is just around the corner for many children. Summer is almost over. Being away for weeks, it was hard to get back into the swing of things, so I also start with some easy cards.

I'm back!

Just got back from holiday to British Columbia. We toured Bowen Island, Vancouver Island and the city of Vancouver on the main land. Had a great time.

Forever canvas

Using the theme "Forever" this is Michelle's last canvas. Using the Graphic 45 Steampunk Debuntante collection. Flowers created by Tim Holtz rosette die, T Holtz gears and metal flowers from 'unknown'. She lived the way this one turned out. This is for her sister in remembrance of their Dad.

When life springs forward

Another canvas remembering spring as nature bursts to life again. May be always remember the springs in our lives. The papers are from Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime collection.
The 3rd canvas yet to come.

Dancing through Life

One of 3 canvases that I'm doing for a friend. Using a 12x12 canvas, adhered beautiful papers from Graphic 45 Curtain Call collection. These canvases are for her and her family to remember their dad. Her dad doesn't have much longer to live and she wants to surprise him with this gift.

Wednesday's Tag "secrets"

Tag is first distressed with Glimmer Mists (Tattered Angels); stamped with the Lady in a long coat by Altered Pages, the flower image is also by Altered Pages, sheet #598. Buttons from stash. What is her secret? I guess we will never know. Maybe it's hiding under her long coat, or maybe she has been stood up in the garden.

A pretty little card

I love making cards, tags, atcs with left over paper and embellishments after finishing another project. Here is my most recent card. Simple but cute.
Thanks for visiting my block. You are all great followers.

Le Romantique canvas

This is actually not a stretch canvas but a piece of 7.5x7.5 mdf board that I painted the edges and covered the surface with some paper by K&Co. The image is cut from Graphic 45 LeRomantique collection. The pearl and lace are by Prima. Handmade satin roses and metal flowers by Graphic 45 finish the piece. I just love doing these little canvases. So many of the new papers by Graphic 45 and other companies really inspire me. Enjoy

Altered spoon

This is not my best steampunk, but it was fun to do. I found this old dessert spoon from a collector's series. It has a kangaroo at the top..but it's from a Canadian collection. In the bowl of the spoon I glued in some watch parts to look like they were spilling out. It's for a swap so I hope my partner likes it. The group has been doing some really awesome spoons. Mine pales in comparison. I will do another one later on.

A little altered box

Just a little box I've been working on. The box was first painted with gesso to remove the shine, then covered with Graphic 45 papers. Add some black pleated ribbon, flowers dyed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists, then a little corsage pin that we received in a swap. This box is a replacement for another box that went astray.

Just a little wax canvas

Well I just finished this little canvas today. The stamp is by LaBlanche. I love this stamp. The background is a free collage paper from Stampington and all other cardstock is by Stampin'Up. Grears by Tim Holtz. The piece is then covered with beeswax. I like it. It's going to be a gift to someone...I wonder who?

A new Old World layout

Here is my newest layout. The frame was first painted black, crackled, and then painted with a red, then over painted again with a plum colour. I just happened to have some gold leaf on the table so I stuck that down here and there on the frame. Not sure if I like that or not. Maybe it gives it the old world touch. The papers used are from Graphic 45 Renaissance Faire collection. Now these paper do all the work. Elements were cut and layered to give it the 3d look. Flowers are from Prima, but some were sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. The photo is of...guess who?

My newest creation

Here is the front cover and a couple of pages. Most of the papers come from the Mariposa Collection. The blank envelope book is by Graphic 45. Tissue Tape and other embellishments by Tim Holtz. Flowers cut using TH tattered flowers die and misted with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. Throughout the book are Prima flowers, assorted butterfly stickers, vintage lace, and other trims. It doesn't close well, so I will be using an black elastic belly band.
