Think Monday, Think ATC - Eternity

Think Monday, Think ATC. Here is my ATC for eternity. A picture of my niece on her wedding day. I don't know why the glue went all blue under the acetate I used for the window. Is there a special glue for acetate on paper? I'm adhesive challenged most times.

Collaborated Altered Book, con't

These are the last pages that I need to do for this Collaborated Altered Book Swap. The theme was Suffragettes. Wow...that was fun. Lots of sourcing on line for the women who took part in this important time in history for women. These ladies fought long and hard for the freedom of women and our right to vote.

Mixed Media Monday - Budding Romance

Romance is all so inocent. These sweethearts are budding with romance.
My entry for Mixed Media Monday. http://mixedmediamonday.wordpress.com/

Theme Thursday - Flowers - Roses

These ATCs are for a roses, roses, roses theme. There also had to be beads somewhere on the card. Background paper was from the $dollar store, large roses are cut from seed catalogue, Stickles Glitter, and beads are from stash.

These ATCs also qualify for Theme Thursday http://themethursday.wordpress.com/

Gothic Arch Challenge - Correspondence

Here is my gothic arch for this week. I can imagine her sitting with her grandchildren and telling them about all the letters their grandpa had sent her in the war days.
I love these gothic arch challenges. You can see more on http://gothicarches.blogspot.com/

What a day!

I planned the whole day to do some blog challenges and didn't get there. I have been having problems with my email not getting to me. I use Outlook Express for my mail program and had checked all the spam or blocked folders and everything looked ok. Well I finally had my grandson sit down and check it out. He found in Rogers/Yahoo account that I had 598 addresses in the spam folder including my own. No wonder I wasn't personal emails since the beginning of January. I was getting yahoogroup mail and that was all. I was getting cranky at people not returning my emails and now I know why and I hang my head. I'm not computer savvy and I can only do what I can do. I've said before, I'm lucky I managed to create a blog all by myself. So I am sorry to everyone who has emailed me and I didn't respond. I appreciate your comments and enjoy hearing from you. Have a creative day. Maybe now I can carrying on with the next blog challenge. Where do I start?

Created By Hand

I played with this house shape tonight. In my box of scrap I found this image of a chair I cut from a magazine and the lady from Graphics 45. Stamps on the background paper are by Stampin'Up. This house is for the challenge on http://createdbyhandchallenge.wordpress.com/.

Groundhog's Day

Here it is the 2nd of February. I wonder if the groundhog will see his shadow today. Either way there will be 6 more weeks of winter and maybe more from previous years experience. Have a create day.

More Quickies

Same with the ATCs, these tags were made from leftovers. You always have backgrounds on atcs, tags or cards that you changed your mind on, so I put them to one side for later inspiration. So that is what I used for these tags. Again, using bits and pieces of papers, and images in my junk box to create something cute. No theme in mind..just puting things together that is pleasing to the eye. I hope you enjoy these samples and try some yourself.

Ten minutes or less

Sometimes I like to just play with no theme in mind just make whatever is comes to mind in 10 minutes or less. Here are 3 atcs that I came up with last night. I sat down to do some of the blog challenges, but I didn't feel like following any kind of theme last night. With themes challenges you have to put more thought into it. I just wanted to just play and see what came up. I have container with images, bits of this and that. So I just played with what was in that box and stamps that were already sitting on the table. So here is my 10 mins or less fun.

More pages

Here are the next two pages for the collaborated altered book swap I'm doing. This theme is Frogs-n-snails and puppy dog tails. It was so fun to do after I was able to find the right pictures for it. These are free images that I used. I added washers, and bits of things boys would want to play with. Don't you just love the little boy sitting on the big red frog? And, the little boy poking the snail? I hope I captured the little boy feeling in these pages.

Wrong Theme...

I finished these pages yesterday and had them all packed up to send when I look at the list of what themes I had to do next and found out that these pages are wrong. They should have been Vintages Shoes and Handbags not Vintage Hats and Handbags. I wonder if it will mess up her book if I leave them? I guess I will have to start again. These pages will make a nice couple of pages for somebody. lol I finished the next set and will load them up tomorrow. I'm off to bed now. Goodnight all.
If you like my work, be a follower...love to have you.

Collaborated Altered Book Swap

This collaborated Altered Book Swap is a challenge. I really don't like working on someone else's pages. This gal's theme is Vintage Hats and Handbags. It sounded easy, but I struggled with it. I struggle more with placement than the actual images. You seem to gather more elements than you really need and struggle with what you will leave out. I hope Sandra will like these pages. I learned from the first 2 pages called Gothic Architecture and made the changes on these two pages. Now on to the next theme.

Heading to Mardi Gras for the masquerade. Come along and enjoy the party.

Stamps from Character Constructions, and decorated with Stickles to give her some bling.

Gothic Arches Shabby Chic

Here is my Gothic Arch for this week, theme being Shabby Chic. I'm calling it generations because my gg grandfather and gg grandmother are in the picture. Even the buttons are antique. This challenge is on http://gothicarches.blogspot.com/ Enjoy

TMTA

My atc for a Monday in the theme buttons. The blue background is using alcohol inks which makes her look like she is looking out the window. The little girl is from ArtChix, buttons and bows from my own collection. This is my entry for Think Monday, Think ATC challenge. http://tmta.wordpress.com/

My Sunday Best

Since I won't be here tomorrow, I thought I would add Ruby in here Sunday Best. Catherine Moore has wonderful art stamp dolls parts and clothing. They are so much fun to create. Thanks Laura for all your inspiration. Character Constructions is responsible for this doll. I think I might be hooked.

Dance In Flight

She twirls on her toes and the bird sings her a love song. It's awhile since I created a doll but with Laura's coaxing here is my first dancing dollie. Created using art stamps in the new 2010 collection (Mannequin Cafe) by Catherine Moore at Character Constructions.

Three Muses challenge Water

When the snow is piling up and it's below freezing here in Canada, we dream of sandy beaches, sunshine and clear blue water. Here is my ATC that I'm calling Winter's Dream for the Three Muses challenge 33 Water. http://thethreemuseschallenge.blogspot.com/

Gothic Arch Birthstone

Gothic Arch using a free photo from Dover, misc. jewels and ribbons. The birthstone is mine..the ruby for July. I wish it was a picture of me 40 years ago. This is for the challenge on Gothic Arches.

Paris Green

Another green and black atc. This one is green in Paris. The picture is by ArtChix, stamp is by Hero Arts, assorted buttons and the seven is from a grunge number set distressed with a green ink pad.

Atc to capture green

Well today I had fun making this ATC. I made 3 for a swap and 1 to trade. I love using the Big Shot and have with die cuts. It's a simple ATC but the colours make it fun. Once I get these swaps complete I would like to try and do some blog challenges again. I also have some journal pages to complete.

Another Tag for a Tuesday

It seems I'm into tags this week. I love the that colour of green with the black. Ok...so I like black backgrounds..between my red/white and black Valentine cards and this tag...I'm into black. Black cs from Stampin'Up, dies by Nestabilities with my Big Shot, and printed paper by SU also. Now I'm on to making some ATCs for a swap. I think I'll use black too. lol Have an artfilled day.

Valentine Tag

Kelly Burton inspired me this morning with her quick Valentine card. So I created this quick tag.

Something Old, Something Blue

Working with just one or two colours is always fun. Just a tag I actually did along time ago but never up it up. Now I have to get back to business. I have several swaps to finish and birthday cards to make, plus some ornaments that need varnish. So I'm off and running. Oh...forgot the laundry is still in the washer. Better go. See you all later.

Altered Book

Just started my two pages for a Collaborated Altered Book on the yahoogroup. Here is my first 2 pages for the Gothic Theme. The stamps I used are unmounts from Inka Stamps and Time to Stamp. It was harder than I thought because I have very little Gothic images and using free clip art, well that's another story. I can't seem to be able to reduce the images. Not sure what's happening with the scanner or program..they are not talking. I received Photoshop for Christmas but I don't know how to use it yet. I wonder if that will do what I want to. I've heard so much about it, but I'm just not computer savvy. I'm lucky I can blog. hahaha

Well I'm back

Haven't been blogging for awhile and here it is a new year. There is alot on my plate right now but here is a beginning. I want to get into some of the blog challenges and I'm gearing up for them.

Made this tag for a swap. Christmas is just over and we are thinking Valentine's Day. The blank tag is sprayed with Glimmer Mist, stamps and hardware by Stampin'Up.
